Developer - Java Developer/Architect

Work Location:  Burbank, CA

 

Client  is seeking a Senior Java Architect with several years  (10+ are preferred) of hands on java developmen
t in a high availability enterprise work environment.  The candidate will be looked upon to provide subject matter expertise on all java related platforms inclu
ding but not limited to: JBOSS, Tomcat, WebLogic, and WebSphere.  Additionally, the candidate will be expected to provide guidance and expertise on overall solu
tion architecting such as database migration strategies, application delivery best practices, framework creation, custom frameworks design, address performance 
requirements, and risk mitigation strategies including security concerns. 

Most importantly, the candidate is expected to execute on his/her strategies, practices, and decisions by coding, practicing, and reinforcing those decisions to
 lead a team of developers.  The candidate should have a solid understanding in
1.      Web Technologies including web application architecture and JavaScript based Frontend technologies such as Angular, JQuery, and Bootstrap
2.      Solution architecture including hardware infrastructure and enterprise application lifecycle beginning from application design to production deployment  and beyond
3.      Database technologies along with exposure to NoSQL database technologies and RESTful service frameworks


The candidate will be asked to demonstrate coding knowledge the following areas
1.      JSP, JavaScript, and Java programming languages along with scripting languages such as Python and Groovy preferred
2.      Build & deployment tools and scripts including ANT and/or Maven
3.      Web protocols knowledge including HTTP headers and responses, HTTPS, and related security
4.      Data structures & algorithms"
