Role: Hadoop Developer
Location: Northern NJ
Duration: long term

Primary Responsibilities:
• Design and development using Java development stack with Web Services, Mark Logic, Spring framework, Hibernate, Angular JS, Aspect Oriented Programing (AOP), JSF & Rich Faces, and test driven development
• Development using Hadoop MapReduce, HBase, Pig, Hive
• Development in an Agile methodology with strong team work
• Designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting and supporting all types of decommissioning applications consistent with established specifications and business requirements to deliver business value
• Ensure timely and quality delivery as per release plan.
• Assesses and interprets customer needs and requirements.
• Participate in meetings/walkthrough session/group meetings to understand business problem/objective of project
• Translates concepts into practice.
• Proven ability to quickly learn new technologies & leverage them to execute on the use cases given to solve business problems
• Acts as a resource for others with less experience.
• Build a relationship with project stakeholders/ business partners.
• Ensure compliance with organization and project defined standards and processes
• Supporting existing application on Production.
Required Qualifications
• 10+ years of experience in information systems development
• 2+ years of experience on Big Data Technology
• 5+ years in design and development using one or more of the these technologies Java development stack with Web Services, Mark Logic, Spring framework, Hibernate, Angular JS, Aspect Oriented Programing (AOP), JSF & Rich Faces, and test driven development
• 1+ years of experience Development using Hadoop MapReduce, HBase, Pig, Hive
• Hands on IT development background
• Very strong presentation and communication skills
• Very strong in translating concepts into professional power points for communication
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)
Health care industry experience
Hands on Experience in Mark logic and Angular JS
1+ years proven experience with data archiving
1+ years of relevant experience in designing, developing and implementing ETL solutions.
1+ years of experience in XML/xDB/xQuery
5+ years' experience with Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server Databases
2+ years ETL experience and verification utilizing SQL querying skills (PL/SQL, Toad or other tool) and formal testing methodologies
