Position: AWS Engineer (Amazon Web Services)

Location: Kansas City, MO

Duration: 6 - 12+ Months

VISA: No Constraints

Rate: $Open/hr on C2C

No # Positions: 2

 

The AWS (Amazon Web Services) Engineer will:

 

·         Analyze, diagnose, and resolve problems across a portfolio of applications comprising an application system.

·         Monitor, manage, report on and maintain one or more applications to ensure application availability meets established SLAs of application users.

·         Work on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues and in making recommendations.

·         Receive little instruction on daily work, general instructions on newly introduced assignments.

·         Provide technical expertise and value to implement, integrate and configure processes, applications, and scripts into an application system.

·         Engage and contribute to analysis, design, test, and implementation of application functionality.

·         Interact with other groups and communicate with end-users and other stakeholders to provide timely and accurate information and status.

 

Requirements:

 

·         2 - 3 years of AWS experience (Amazon Web Services)

·         Proficient experience with Linux

·         1+ year of Git version control experience

·         1+ year of scripting experience (Bash, Python, etc.)

 

Optional Skills:

 

·         3+ years of configuration management and DevOps

·         3+ years of CIDR sub netting, access control, and network topology design

·         3+ years of experience with Jenkins, Nginx, Nagios, Cacti

·         3+ years of experience with relational databases (defining schemas and writing SQL views)
