Role: Cloud Network Architect

REQUIRED Basic Qualifications:

·        Minimum of 7 years of experience designing, building, and supporting networks for large IT enterprise environments â€" should include:

·        L2-L3 switch configuration expertise

·        Work with Linux Bridge

·        Linux server network development in Python, Pearl, C, or script

·        Networks security planning and implementation

·        SDN (OpenVSwitch) programming

·        Has participated in the design of data center network topologies, network capacity planning, and server farm management for both cloud data storage and virtualization platforms

·        Experience implementing new networking features and functional automated network tests

·        Must possess the ability to be organized and work effectively on multiple tasks with competing deadlines.

·        Strong communication skills that allow the candidate to develop and execute on opportunities with operations and engineering staff to optimize the business. The candidate must have the ability to support operations remotely using conference calls effectively.

·        Proven capability to lead teams, mentor staff, and teach developing engineers.

·        Experience working with SDN, NFV and Network Virtualization based solutions

·        Broad understanding of the entire SDN/NFV field - technology, product offerings, and limitations

·        Experience working with datacenter switch fabrics

·        Good understanding of Merchant silicon (BroadCom Trident2/Tomahawk) based white-box switches

·        A keen understanding of underlay technologies and various SDN components

·        Good understanding of OpenStack networking

·        Neutron OVS experience is highly desirable

·        Knowledge of ONOS and CORD projects is highly desirable

·        Knowledge of Open Daylight, Open Contrail is a plus

·        Excellent communications skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts

·        10+ years in the networking industry, with at least 2 years as a Network Architect

·        2+ years of experience working with cloud platform

·        Self-motivated and eager to think outside the box to push current technological boundaries

·        Ability to create a technology roadmap and get internal alignment

·        Ability to mentor junior engineers and work in a lab environment

 

PREFERRED Qualifications:

·        Network Engineering Certifications: CompTia Network+, CCNA/CCNP

·        KVM / Xen experience

·        Ability to Secure Linux

·        Deployment technologies such as Puppet/Chef

·        Bare-metal network deployment with PXE, Cobbler, MAAS
