Day to Day Responsibilities/typical day look like:
• Looking for someone to have a parallel initiative to get on the Amazon Cloud for dev and integration environment
• Coming in and helping to develop a deployment process for applications involving Docker containers and deploying them in cloud through various suites
• Creating a framework from the ground up – virtualization from many levels (Linux, windows) but they are only getting into containers right now – very interested in Docker for many reasons
• Someone that can come up with a process and strategy
• Practioner not a process guruLow on maturity curve with Docker
1. Developing Docker capability
2. Coming up with scripts
What are the top 3 MUST HAVE technologies of the position?
• Amazon technologies – ( AWS, ECS, Elastic Beanstalk, Cloud Formation etc )
• Docker – done DevOps with Docker (short of 2 years is okay)
• Build and configuration experience NICE TO HAVES (OR WHAT GETS THE WIN)?
• Experience administering Linux based systems – troubleshooting and matinenence
• Experience in building, packaging and deploying Java EE application
• Experience with build and dependency management systems such as Maven and Ant
• Experience implementing a Continuous Integration environment and deployment pipeline
