Title- Hapoop Infrastructure Administrator
Location- Hoffman Estates, IL (LOCALS highly pref.)
9 Months
Description:
· Critical role for the organization with high visibility and ability to make a HUGE impact on our future success.
· Experience with CDH / HDP / Apache Hadoop distribution components and custom packages.
· Experience with columnar DB solutions (e.g. Vertica, Cassandra, Greenplum) in cases where a columnar DB is best for data management.
· Experience building Non-Relational data models on NoSQL DB and designing applications.
· Strong Experience in building data pipelines and analysis tools using Java, Scala, Python.
· Experience building large-scale server-side systems with distributed processing algorithms.
· Good understanding of traditional EDW and data transfer between traditional EDW and hadoop eco-system
· Experience in architecting and deploying highly scalable backend solutions.
· Experience with dependency injection frameworks such as Castle Windsor, Ninject, Structure Map, etc.
· Knowledge of Design Patterns, Agile software development methodologies, Extreme Programming including Pair Programming.
· Prior exp. in a consulting firm or working with clients on-site a PLUS but not required.
· Strong problem solving abilities. Experience with various Analytics tools such as Power BI, Pentaho etc.
· Strong domain experience in Healthcare, Insurance, Retail, Gaming and Entertainment, financial industry
