Job Description – Genesys Engineer

Position Description:
Subject Matter Expert who has extensive experience engineering Genesys Core and strategic solutions. The individual fulfilling this role will drive creation and implementation of templates and standards as related to Genesys, including engineering implementation checklist, MOP templates and detailed acceptance test and engineering migration plans. They will need the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines. Provide timely and accurate progress status on all on-going project support efforts. Strong analytical skills, excellent written, verbal and customer service skills.

This individual will also act as an engagement engineer by coordinating with vendor/partners and end user services the discovery/installation/and testing of items related to the successful transition from the Cisco UCCE platform to Genesys. They will provide consultation services to business status of project effort and partner with implementation vendors regarding any discrepancies. Coordinate with the customer and ensure the implementation partner completes a thorough user acceptance test for each ACD/IVR application and function ensuring it meets design specifications.

Requirements:
1. Candidate must have hands on experience on-going engineering, designing and implementing Genesys Suite (8.x and 7.x)
2. Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications or related discipline.
3. Candidate must have a minimum of three years' experience in application design of moderately complex ACD/IVR call flows and reports.
4. Candidates preferred to have experience with Framework Layer, Management Layer, Services Layer, Sip Server, Media Server, GVP Studio, URS, IVR, Genesys desktop
5. Candidates preferred to have experience with Windows 95/98/XP/7/NT/2000/2003/2008, Redhat 5, TCP/IP Networking, MSSQL
6. Candidates preferred to have thorough knowledge of call routing, knowledge of UCCE, CVP, CUCM, CUIC, Unity Connections, Cisco Agent Desktop/Cisco Supervisor Desktop
7. Candidates preferred to have experience working in a healthcare environment
8. Genesys Certified Inbound Voice Consultant 8 is preferred.
