Responsibilities:
Lead Database Administrator – Oracle
DBA with 10 years of experience designing, implementing, monitoring and tuning database high availability servers. Architect, deploy and support Internet based database applications.
The successful candidate should have the following skills and experience:
- Experience leading a small team of DBAs to accomplish database deployment, maintenance and support
- Degree in Computer Technology or equivalent experience.
- 3 years' experience in Oracle PLSQL programming.
- Experience with both Oracle 10 and 11
- Experience with Mongodb
- 6 years of DBA Enterprise Application development experience.
- 4 years of experience as a DBA of applications hosted to support Internet users
- Experience developing applications, including SQL, stored procedures, triggers, replication and database tuning.
- Proficiency in using Oracle in a Unix environment, including Unix shell scripting.
- Willingness to work extended hours when required to launch projects on time and maintain high availability.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Lead installation, database creation, maintenance and fine tuning activities.
- Support development, staging and production database environments.
- Participate in database logical and physical design.
- Identify strategy and database requirements for future application development.
- Develop and coordinate appropriate database backup and recovery procedures.
- Perform programming and reporting activities.
- Rapid deployment of cluster high availability database applications that are properly documented.
- Data Analysis
