Responsibilities:
Client located in Bellevue, WA is currently seeking a Network Design Engineer for a multi- year project opportunity. The overall project will be focused on an Enterprise Datacenter Migration.
The successful candidate will be responsible to develop detailed template-based plans including;
• Implementation, testing and back out procedures for all network implementations, upgrades and modifications.
• Assist in creating network design standards for hardware and software.
• Developing and maintaining network documentation (Visio diagrams, Excel spreadsheets, Word documents, etc.
• Configure and troubleshoot network elements in a Test/Development environment.
Summary of needs/Must haves
• Experience as a Senior Network Design Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of Cisco enterprise environment experience
• This role is going to be focused on Migration Design and the successful candidate will be involved in decommissioning current datacenter and connecting with the new Datacenter
• Must have experience with research, design, routing, security and switching of high level components
• Minimum CCNA or CCNP required
• Prior Telecomm experience is a nice to have
Minimum Skills Required
• Fluent in Cisco router/switch configuration and troubleshooting in a TCP/IP OSPF environment
• 4-6 years related work experience
• Good organizational and communication skills, self-motivated
• Microsoft Office suite, MS Visio, general computer skills
• Experienced with SONET facilities, DWDM and MPLS. Minimum CCNP certification
