Responsibilities:
We have a long term contract for a developer with an investment firm and the are looking for one developer in Boston and one in NYC. Here is the job spec. The candidate will be required to do a face to face interview.
Responsibilities:
- Support & enhance proprietary tools and integrated vendor tools & services, as a primary role;
- Facilitate integration testing of 3rd party tools & data, as demand requires;
- Provide tactical support of business-oriented services, as a secondary role.
Professional Qualifications:
- An undergraduate degree in Technology and Software Development is required;
- Strong understanding, and experience developing Investment Management systems is required;
- Knowledge of Microsoft-based technologies including strong SQL Server experience, .NET/C#, and Team Foundation Server (TFS) are required.
- Visual Basic (VB6), Crystal Reports, SSRS, Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) and Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) are desired;
- Knowledge of Security & Account Master, Trade Delivery, Cash Management, and Portfolio Accounting concepts is critical;
- Investment Management relevant experience is required.
Personal Qualities:
- Strong business analysis capabilities in combination with strong application development & database skills;
- Ability to collaborate directly with business users;
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve, and detail driven;
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at once;
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently;
- Collaborates, drawing others into the work at hand; and,
- Works well in a close team environment.
