Responsibilities:
Sr. Cognos Business Intelligence Programmer / Analyst
The candidate will work with business analysts to develop and maintain complex Cognos reports, packages, cubes, and dashboards - using multiple DBMS - via Cognos 10 business intelligence tools. Other tasks include day-to-day maintenance of cubes and reports as well as regular interaction with data consumers. Data consumer mentoring and training are also part of the position. The successful candidate will be involved at all stages of the project lifecycle including requirements gathering and application documentation.
8-10 years experience required
Skills:
Cognos 10 experience is required with a minimum of three-five years advanced development and metadata modeling experience with Cognos business intelligence tools including Report Studio (including Active Reports), Query Studio, PowerPlay (client and web), Transformer, and Framework Manager. Experience mentoring other Cognos developers and data consumers on Business Insight and Business Insight Advanced is highly desired. Also, experience with Cognos Software Development Kit (SDK) is desired but not required.
The successful candidate will also be familiar with general data modeling concepts and business intelligence best practices and be willing to work on projects with fluid requirements.
