Position: VB 6 and Cache Programmer
Location: Boston, MA.
Duration: 6-months

SUMMARY:
The individual in this role will be working along with the development and analyst groups for the MGH CPOE application. S/He will be considered a part of the development group, and will work in collaboration with the analyst team.
Technical requirements for this role are as follows:
- 5+ years of experience with Visual Basic 6
- 1+ year of experience with InterSystems' Cache
Additional requirements for this role are as follows:
- Ability to be involved in all phases of the software development lifecycle (requirement analysis, technical design, development, implementation and maintenance)
- Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications and provide estimates
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to present the most feasible software solution to the team.
- Ability to discuss functional and technical aspects with all levels of staff, including senior management.
- Ability to participate as an active member of the development team, and collaborate with the rest of the team.
- Ability to adhere to the existing coding standards and processes in place
- Ability to act independently or under general direction.
- To work on software development tasks assigned, from analysis to implementation and generation of support and technical documentation
