Relevant Experience:

Summary:
Technical engineer in the Network devices – Network Admin supporting Routers,Switches, Firewalls, Load Balancers, Proxies, DNS/DHCP etc. Assist in technical direction, education, development, and project management of the technical staff.
Responsibility:
• Daily operational hands-on network duties working with Layer 1-7 switching, TCP/IP, OSPF, HSRP, and load balancing (Cisco L2/L3 switches, firewalls, load balancers, GSS)
• Demonstrated experience with routing and switching VLANs, tunnelling, spanning tree, trunking
• Document the current and future network architecture and technology
• Strong technical background and in-depth knowledge of delivering complex solutions using industry best practices and methods in Load Balancer environment.
• Implement and Maintain Existing & future Data Center Networks
• Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation
• Responsible for ongoing support/troubleshooting of configuration and layout of load balancer infrastructure , in a 24x7 environment
• Implement network technology, process, and security standards
• Ensure the Infrastructure team has the appropriate information and skills to successfully administer and support the network environment
• Develop, monitor, and report the appropriate metrics to measure network performance and availability and to identify necessary improvements
• Evaluate current network infrastructure and identify technologies and manage projects designed to improve security, scalability and reliability of the overall environment
• Manage network vendor relations ensuring selected vendors are providing optimal service
• Plan and manage multiple network infrastructure projects
• Interact professionally and effectively through verbal and written communication with all professional contacts with emphasis on company interests
• Independently prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes and through the coordination of project team members
• Develop and analyze strategic enterprise level architectures supporting critical business needs and integration of corporate knowledge management applications
Requirements:
• Provide technical direction on evolving corporate business requirements and strategic IT program
• Review, analyze, and evaluate current business systems and formulate new system designs to further enhance business strategies.
• Research, integrate, and implement network management applications to assist with network troubleshooting.
• Ensure best practices are implemented and maintained concerning server development, upgrades, and security patches
• Develop and maintain all system related documentation regarding the network, including disaster recovery, installation and data recovery procedures.
• Monitor and manage Load Balancing server environemtn and provide expert level support.
• Assist the Network Services – Network Engineering Group with basic troubleshooting and configuration of the WAN.
• Develop and maintain all network operations, monitoring, remote access, capacity planning and server troubleshooting services.
• Provide night and weekend support for system troubleshooting issues as well as 7x24 hour onsite and pager technical support as needed.
• Depending upon the issue, may provide second tier support for DC Systems Coordinators and remote users in the DCs.
• Log all activity for assistance utilizing a trouble ticketing system, for tracking and reporting purposes.
• Demonstrates high analytical skills and is self-motivated/directed
• Applies standards consistently across all solutions
• Develops and contributes to policies, standards and procedures, and documentation of best practices/process improvements
• Demonstrates strategic foresight while employing hands-on technical skills on projects and work assignments

• Demonstrates knowledge of and experience with technical infrastructure
• Understands and operates within agreed SLAs
Skills Required
Advanced knowledge of high-availability technologies
Proven background and experience in designing, monitoring and troubleshooting enterprise wide area networks, Datacenter networks, Load Balancers, Firewalls and Proxy.
Ability to prioritize projects and deliver on commitments
Experience designing and administering networks for Retailer environment.
Experience with global networks and IPSEC, VPN, MPLS technologies
Expert knowledge of: Cisco/Checkpoint firewalls
Monitoring design, network analysis and metric reporting to establish bandwidth usage forecasting and network availability
Load balancing traffic and engineering for automatic failover
Layer 3 Experience: BGP/EIGRP/OSPF Routing including route redistribution
In depth knowledge in Routing, Switching and Wireless Technologies and Security products.
Should possess hands on experience in Cisco Network and security products like VXR
Routers, data center Nexus switches Nexus 2K, 5K and 7K, 6500, 4500 catalyst and Stack switches, ASA Firewalls and VPN Concentrator, Wide Area Application Services (WAAS), Cisco ACE Load Balancers, Cisco IronPort proxy.
Should possess good troubleshooting skills in routing, switching, wireless, IPSec and SSL VPN, ACL and security policies.
Should work on network monitoring tools Cisco Works LMS, Cisco NCS, Vital Suite, Wireshark, ASDM and Checkpoint provider1.
Design and implement end-to-end network infrastructure.
Manage, troubleshoot and support multi-vendor network equipment from offshore in 24x7 shifts.
Provide consultation & support to resolve complex issues or to configure the network equipment as per requirement.
