Job Title: Sr Java Developer

Location: Woodlawn, MD -  Baltimore (Need Locals)

Duration : 6+ months

Description:

We are seeking a Java Developer who will support several projects for the Enumeration Support branch of a federal agency. 

The qualified candidate will Develop and support the Enterprise Metadata Repository portal, including architecture, design and implementation. 

The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Information technology support services contract for the SSA.

Description of Work:

Develop and support the Enterprise Metadata Repository portal, including architecture, design and implementation.

Support existing automated or manual repository load processes such as the DB2 catalog synchronization and business information extract.

Support the implementation of code-scanning software into the Enterprise Metadata Repository (EMR), including validation of the scanner, loading of the repository, and coordinating testing.

Support performance tuning of the repository.

Support development of the Enterprise Metadata Repository (EMR) common access.

Other EMR support as required.

Ensure secure coding practices are adhered to in all phases of the secure development lifecycle. Be knowledgeable in all NGC SSA Programs HIPAA compliance requirements and proactively address any HIPAA concerns. Become knowledgeable on the HIPAA policies and procedures for the program and ensure awareness of HIPAA breach process

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum knowledge, skills, abilities.

Master's degree and 11 years of experience, Bachelor's degree and 13 years of related experience, or 17 years of experience will satisfy degree and experience requirements. 

7 years of experience with Java and JEE (Web and Batch) technologies. 

5 years of Object Oriented Analysis skills with experience in design documentation

5 years of experience in Object Relational Mapping technologies like JPA/Hibernate

5 years of experience in SOA and web service technologies

5 years of experience working on Struts framework and writing complex SQL queries in relational database systems like DB2, Oracle

5 years of experience using the IDEs like RAD, RSA 

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with these skills will be given preferential consideration.

Experience in .NET, C# and Visual Studio

Experience with Mainframe technologies including CICS, COBOL, DB2 is a plus

Experience working with Government contracts is preferred

Experience with Section 508 Compliance

Knowledge of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies

Ability and willingness to work in tough deadlines

Experience with HP ALM
