Title: SAP PP Consultant

Duration: Long term- 3 month initial but more than likely to extend
Location: West Chester, PA

Interview Details: Phone screen but NEED LOCALish!!! – Will hire off of phone but must be in the PA, NJ, MD, VA, or NYC area

Responsibilities:

Work closely with business team members of business functions (Manufacturing, R&D, Supply Chain Planning, and Inventory Management) to facilitate effective solution implementations and provide knowledge transfer of system functionality to Super Users, Subject Matter Experts and end users.
Analyze business process gaps, identify solution alternatives, and guidance to business and IT stakeholders for selecting the best solutions for closing the gaps.
Work closely with ABAP developers to define programming requirements and test programming solutions.
Provide production support for SAP Manufacturing/Production Planning and integration points with SD, QM, and WM modules. Support SAP interfaces to other core business applications.
Manage projects assigned through the full project lifecycle including managing and coordinating the work of consultants when necessary.
Strong ability to lead discussions with the business to analyze, configure and model processes in SAP.
Modify, test and validate system configuration. Prepare detailed functional specifications for development activities including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms.
Build and execute unit testing, integration, and regression testing (build test cases, perform tests, and make changes to configuration or processes based on results).

Required Skills:

We require the candidate to have extensive knowledge in SAP Manufacturing systems in the following areas:

Master Data Management as it relates to Manufacturing and Production Planning
The overall ERP environment we will be mostly operating in is SAP 4.0b and 4.6c.
Warehouse Management (WM)
SAP system configuration knowledge in respective areas

Establish and support best practices for SAP Manufacturing and logistics business processes for the North America businesses in SAP 4.6 system and for the businesses in SAP 4.0b system.

Drive efficiency through continuous improvement in configuration and master data management

Required Experience:

8+ years of experience in the Manufacturing module with two or more full project life cycle SAP implementations
Blueprinting, Realization, Configuration, Functional Specifications, Protocol Development, Unit and Integration Testing and Execution, Data Definition, Data Mapping from Legacy Systems, End-user Training, Training Development, Train the Trainer, Cutover Activities, and Production Support, Problem Resolution (Analyze and Fix), Liaison between IT and the business users
Strong skill sets in communicating, training and supporting Manufacturing with day to day business processes

Knowledge of interfaces with bolt on Supply Chain Planning systems such as OMP Plus and/or APO is highly desired.
