Job Title: Software Configuration Manager

Location: Atlanta GA

Duration: 6+ months

Defining policies and procedures for standards on Source Code Management. Most of the policies / procedures focus on security and disaster recovery for source code repositories.

The position is taking the knowledge of the 3 functional areas to create applicable policies, procedures, etc., for source code repositories. Subsequently, support the implementation and deployment of policies and procedures across the organization. We have 3 main source control systems within the organization, so there may be variations in procedures relevant to the source control system.

Qualifications

From the Software Configuration Management Side

• Familiar with Software Configuration Management Concepts

• Source Code Administration experience

• Full life-cycle experience, developing and improving Configuration Management standards, policies, practices, and procedures.

• Familiar with Configuration Management Tools: Subversion, GIT, and Team Foundation Server;

o Must have experience in one of the tools

• Familiar with maturity models (CMMI), standards (ITIL), and best practices for configuration management and source code administration.

From the Security Side

• Familiar with ISO 27001 standard as it may be applied to source code repositories

From the Business Continuity Side

• Familiar with ISO 22301 standard as it may be applied to source code repositories

Responsibilities

• Review current security policies, ISO 27001, and ISO 22301 standards, creating supplemental and new Configuration Management and source code administration policies in support of existing policies and requirements.

• Create and/or enhance configuration management control procedures and source code administration procedures to support all policies.

• Defining, documenting, and implementing, deployment strategies for policies.

• Coordinates and directs the implementation of policies and procedures for configuration management and source code administration throughout the organization.

• Coordinates and conducts gap analysis of existing practices to policies.

• Contributes and conducts risk assessment of gaps.

• Contribute to continuing process improvement of all activities in support of policies, procedures for configuration management and source code administration.

Working knowledge of standards ISO 27001 and ISO 22301. This coupled with Software Configuration Management, ITIL Configuration Management, Business Continuity Planning, policies and procedures. Exposure and use (better) of tools Subversion, GIT, and Team Foundation Server.
