Major Job Duties and Responsibilities
· Develop services and tools in Java and Spring supporting millions of consumers
· Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard information in computer files against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification or disclosure
· Develop standards and guidelines to guide the use and acquisition of software and to protect vulnerable information
Skills Required:
Our client in King of Prussia is seeking a Senior Java Engineer to join an Agile team in health care space of network practitioners and providers (ie: doctors) for the payor market. There are currently 3 Agile teams working on several concurrent releases, including defect work. The perfect candidate is an effective, quality-driven team developer, who can hit the ground running and who likes challenges. There are many new technologies and automation tool being used and the right candidate should have experience with the latest, cutting edge technologies. This is a long term assignment with the ability to be converted to a permanent employee.
· Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant field required
5-7 years demonstrated experience with n-tier web application development and experience in latest JDK and earlier releases. Must be able to articulate experience with many of the major Java APIS (e.g. JMS, JPA, JNDI, EJB, RMI, JAX, etc.); J2EE certification a Plus
· 3-5+ years' experience with Spring Framework, Hibernate and SQL
· Demonstrated ability to solve complex software development/design issues using clean, coherent code following established coding guidelines
· Expert ability to work independently and manage one's time (Required)
· Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skills (Required)
· Experience with web services standards and related technologies (XML, JSON, REST, SOAP, WS*, AXIS)
· Demonstrated ability to solve complex software development/design issues using clean, coherent code following established coding guidelines
Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and leadership skills along with effective English communication skills
