SENIOR JAVA/J2EE ANALYST

Brief Description Of Assignment:

This consultant will serve as a key solutions expert member of Business Intelligence's Architecture Team.  The successful candidate should have an understanding of current technical architectures including constraints related to platforms and standards in order to establish this role.   The candidate should have application integration experience in the following areas: ·         Manufacturing functional domain ·         Application integration ·         Web and application security ·         Performance tuning ·         Quality ·         Operational aspects   Major Responsibilities Help define the technical reference architecture, ensuring that it meets the business requirements, cost constraints and performance goals of the application Ensure that the technical architecture is consistent with the client's long-term direction Be involved in the application and technical architecture analysis, design, and implementation to ensure that the product fulfills the requirements Work with the integration solution architects to deliver high level and detailed architecture design and documentation Identify the technical environment required to support the application architecture reviews Define programming guidelines and standards for web applications and integration solutions Collaborate with other architects to ensure that the products and components work together to meet the objectives and performance goals as defined in the requirements Troubleshoot, debug and solve technology integration and performance problems

Candidate Qualifications
 College Degree: Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering in one of the following –
Computer Technology, Computer Science, Information Technology, Math, Engineering, or Electronics
 
Years of Work Experience: Minimum of 8+ years overall IT experience with three or more years working in the areas of system architecture, component design, implementation and deployment processes
 
Personal Skills Required:

o   Sound knowledge in J2EE, Web Services development, and SOA o   Hands-on experience with IBM MQ Series and WebSphere Suite (App Server, Portals, Integration, etc.) o   Sound knowledge of JSF, Spring, Hibernate, Servlets, JDBC, JNDI, JAXB, JDOM, ESB, BPEL, AJAX, XML, ICE Faces o   Experience implementing at least one SOA-related project successfully o   Experience implementing the automated deployment of the applications from the source o   Ability to perform analysis and design software systems using industry standard modeling tools o   Proficient in the use of software development tools and techniques in software projects o   Working knowledge of mobile web technologies (HTML5, CSS3) o   Excellent communication – present and communicate effectively with clients, team members and management o   Ability to teach, mentor and effectively guide other developers o   Ability to meet targeted deadlines with minimal supervision o   Ability to follow and support USS Standards for design, development, implementation and documentation o   Be a self-starter, have the ability to independently research and solve complex technical issues

 
Technical Skills Required:

 
Additional Skills/Qualities not required but would be a plus:

o   Evidence of prior leadership position in implementation of a corporate level and successful SOA architecture o   Knowledge of cross-platform design and development experience o   Position has potential for full-time hire so candidates with citizen status or green cards would be preferred.
