Project Summary:
is implementing a new policy administration system to replace the legacy Commercial Lines application. This project involves a large number of interface and conversion work. This effort requires ETL integrations to support the various interfaces to both internal and external systems. We are looking to augment our project team with an experienced SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) developer.
Position Summary:
Working from requirements and design specifications, this contractor's primarily responsibility will be coding new and changing existing SQL Server Integration Services packages (SSIS). These packages perform and support various interfaces for both legacy and new applications. Technical environment is primarily Microsoft Business Intelligence Development Suite (BIDS) with legacy data being on an IBM Mainframe in either DB2, VSAM or sequential files.
General Responsibilities:
· Follow development & testing procedures from direction & designs of analyst(s)
· Coding, testing, implementing SSIS packages.
· Creating new SQL server tables/marts and modifying existing ones
· Creating interface files by transforming data from the new Policy Administration System database for consumption to downstream mainframe applications
· Creating/Modifying coversion routines to load legacy information to the new Policy Administration system at renewal
· Implementing & scheduling new batch jobs
Desired Qualifications:
· 5+ years experience with SQL Business Intelligence Development Studio Environment
· Microsoft Business Intelligenct (BI) Certification
· ETL experience using SQL Server Integration Services
· Transact-SQL and SQL database skills using Microsoft SQL Management Studio
· Working knowledge of VB or C#
· Previous Data Warehouse ETL and BI experience
· Experience with any combination of SQL Server Reporting Services(SSRS), Sharepoint, FTP, Infogix balancing and ESP scheduler a plus
