Location: Pittsburgh | PA
Start date: ASAP
Duration: 6+ Months
Responsibilities:
The Salesforce Technical Consultant - Developer, a key member to our CRM solutions practice, will deliver top notch implementation, customization, and development services to Salesforce customer base. This position will have a great spotlight to the customer and will work either at the client site or remotely during pre-sales and/or post sales activities.
Position Duties:
· Develop custom Force.com applications based on specific customer requirements
· Develop data migrations and integrations between Salesforce and external systems including developing data transformations and creating automated jobs to support business processes
· Develop Apex Triggers, VisualForce pages, custom code to solve customer challenges
· Analyze and assess technical strategy with customers and/or teammates related to external systems, Saleforce, and data processes
· Work in conjunction with teammates to ensure delivery of full Salesforce implementation including UI and backend processes
· Work with clients & other teammates, either on site or remotely, to understand their business processes and strategies as it relates to Salesforce.com and technical implementations (as required)
· Create technical requirements and specifications as needed to support full project lifecycle
· Assist with pre-sales and marketing activities as needed.
· Obtain/Maintain Certifications
Required Skills
· Working knowledge and direct experience with Salesforce.com
· Proficiency in Apex, Visuaforce, Web Services, SOQL, AJAX, XML, Javascript and HTML
· Ability to manage concurrent projects
· Working knowledge of data structures and understanding of data migration
· Understanding of the full application lifecycle from inception through maintenance
· Demonstrated consulting and customer skills
· Strong problem solving skills
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Ability to work independently or in a team environment at various times
· Proven ability to learn technical concepts and translate them to the appropriate audience
· Ability to recognize opportunities for new business
· Work well in a team environment
Preferred Skills/ Abilities:
· Current Salesforce Certified Developer certification
· Salesforce.com experience preferred
· Consulting experience a plus, but not required
· Understanding of data structures and migrations using the Salesforce.com data loader, import wizard, and Excel Connector tools
· Experience with relational databases and web application servers
· Travel flexibility both local and out of state approximately 10 to 20%, when needed
Required Experience
· 5+ years of experience developing custom applications
· 5+ years of experience developing custom data integrations between multiple systems or databases
· Proficiency in Apex, Visuaforce, Web Services, SOQL, AJAX, XML, Javascript and HTML
Education:
· Bachelor's Degree in Information Sciences, Computer Science, Business or relevant discipline
· Master's Degree preferred
· Experience may be considered in lieu of Degree
