SAP FICO for Pittsburg, PA
General role:
o Be accountable to the SAP Production Balanced Scorecard and therefore the reliability of the SAP FICO Applications used by the Electrical Sector.
• Handle break fix / service restoration support tickets
• Handle user functional and business process support tickets
• Handle questions
• Assist to drive problem management and root cause solutions for repeated issues
• Help with small projects and enhancements as required
• Create solution proposals as well as write functional specifications for our development team as required when technical development is needed
• Participate in CAB (change advisory board) meetings to present solutions going into production and will follow all change management processes
• Constantly share knowledge with peers on the functional team or the support team.
Specific duties:
• Develop SAP system design and configure solutions
• Work through complex SAP process problems and document the business process as configured in SAP, test and ensure proper integration with other modules
• Perform detailed configuration of FI CO modules
• Work with SD, MM, PP process teams to ensure an integrated system solution
• Write documentation as required including process procedures, technical documentation, and assist with unit and integration testing and SAP customizations and maintenance
o Will get involved in month-end and year-end closing activities to help end users in executing the transactions as required
Specialized knowledge / skills:
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Proven competency in presentation, training, documentation and support. Training Business Process Owners, Power users and End users.
• Expert trouble-shooter and proven expertise in production support.
• Experience working in various phases of a project from Business Process Study (AS-IS, TO-BE), Gap Analysis, Customization, Unit Testing, Integration Testing and UAT and Training to change management
• Strong in FI sub modules General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Special purpose Ledger
• Strong in CO sub modules of Cost center Accounting, Profit center Accounting, Profitability Analysis, Internal orders and understanding of Product costing
• Basic Understanding of ABAP Development needed to complete functional specs and in developing solutions with the technical team
• Data migration experience with LSMW, BDC, CATT
• Familiarity with SAP Integration technologies – ALE, IDoc, SAP Userexits
o Good understanding of integration of FICO modules with other SAP modules like SD (Sales and Distribution), MM (Materials Management), PP (Production Planning).
• Good understanding the various modules of SAP FICO and be able to support the various functionalities like:
o ECC 6.0 version, SAP 4.6c, 4.7, 5.0
o Automatic payment program for Vendors, Lockbox functionality for Customers, Master data, Fixed Assets, Consolidation reporting.
o Integration with Hyperion, various interfaces to the SAP system (exchange rates, expense reports, EDI)
o Ability to work on DART and Data Archiving. Helped in setting up the parameters for archiving and creating queries to provide the data for internal and external Audit and Tax department requirements.
o Have a Good Knowledge of SAP reporting Tools like Report Painter, Report Writer, Drill down reporting and ABAP Query.
