Responsibilities:
Java ILOG / ODM Rules Developer will be responsible for:
Participating on teams that carry out full lifecycle software development activities
Playing a leading role in setting the architecture and design for our products
Designing and developing reusable software modules that meet customer requirements while upholding high standards of reliability, security, maintainability and performance
Providing accurate development effort estimates to assist management in project and resource planning
Advising management on how products and processes can be improved
Participating in peer reviews for designs, code and other work products
Writing technical documentation
Reviewing the work of others
Developing innovative approaches
Being sought out as expert
Skills/attributes are a must have:
3+ years experience in Design and Development of rules and event solutions using IBM ODM / ILOG, ILOG integration, ILOG customization, Rule/Decision Service optimization
Working experience with various ODM components Rule Designer, Decision Server, Decision Center, DVS
Working experience translating Business Requirements into Rule based technical solutions
Working experience with data transformation frameworks and technologies, including XML, XSLT
Hands-on development in Java/J2EE
Experience with querying relational databases DB2 v9 or greater, DB2, SQL Server)
Experience in relational data modeling and design, development, and performance tuning.
Skills/attributes are nice to have:
Experience in Business Rules extraction process (Rule Mining / Rules Harvesting)
Experience implementing and/or utilizing Agile Development and methodologies
Experience in Unix / Shell Scripting
Experience with various development methodologies (e.g. Agile, Scrum, Iterative, etc.) and Rational Team Concert
Experience with Spring Framework, Struts 2 & MVC design patterns
Experience with Web Services (REST, SOAP)
Experience in the QA and Testing Services related to the development and deployment of ODM Rules and/or MDM services into Production environment
Experience in crafting detailed design specifications as well as test plans for unit and integration testing
Strong oral, written communication skills
