Requirement - Project Manager / Development Manager
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Duration : 6-12 months
Responsibilities:
Plan and manage administrative and strategic aspects of assigned projects and multi-project programs.
- Responsible for managing overall development activities for a given project involving a multitude of technologies.
- Ensure the project plan; scope, work breakdown structure, schedule, risk and deliverables are in alignment with the project or program goals and objectives.
- Provide oversight to project management activities (i.e., resource forecasting). Identify resource skills, effort, and timeframe needed.
- Analyze and manage risk throughout the life cycle of the project or program.
- Coordinate development activities between various development teams
- Coordinate and manage integration testing
- Liaison with the testing team to coordinate deploys to the testing environment
- Ensure stability of Testing environment during the functional testing phase
- Coordinate server and network support as needed
- Plan and execute deployment activities.
Provide leadership and coaching to team members.
- Demonstrate strong leadership through team motivation, coaching, mentoring, delegating, and problem-solving for team members.
- Present questions that stimulate ideas and discussion among project and program stakeholders.
- Facilitate post-project review and communicate lessons learned.
Maintain and apply business knowledge.
- Apply business knowledge and work in partnership with the business stakeholders at all levels.
· Ensure that methodology deliverables are produced on a timely basis and effectively used in project or program activities.
· Ensure that overall project change, schedule, and quality control are integrated into the project management process.
· Adhere and comply with project change management methodologies and reporting requirements.
Contribute to and maintain a thorough understanding of standards, policies, and procedures
WORK EXPERIENCES REQUIREMENTS
· Requires strong knowledge of business system design and testing techniques and methodologies.
· Requires excellent oral, written, and presentation skills to manage communication with project or program stakeholders at all levels.
· Requires strong leadership with the ability to inspire and coach employees to accomplish strategic goals and related tasks.
· Requires ability to process complex, time sensitive data and information from multiple sources, make decisions based on this data and effectively communicate the related required actions to a broad audience.
· Requires strong project management skills including the demonstrated ability to plan, schedule, organize, coordinate, manage, evaluate, and adjust resources and work effort for projects of the highest complexity and risk.
· Requires excellent organizational skills, independent action and self-motivation to drive multiple complex projects/tasks to completion in a timely and accurate fashion.
· Requires strong problem solving and analytic skills to translate business problems into systems solutions.
TECHNICAL/EDUCATIONAL/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
· Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
· Requires strong Microsoft Project knowledge and experience.
· Requires knowledge of Microsoft .Net platform.
· Desire knowledge of multi-platform programming languages and supporting infrastructures.
· Requires a thorough knowledge of industry standard project frameworks and methods, and an in depth knowledge of project planning and tracking principles.
· Desire PMI certification
