Role: Senior Solution Architect

Work Location:  Orlando, FL

 

Role Description The Solution Architect will be responsible for leading solution design for implementation of third party product/s for Transportation Application. The role would require sound architectural background in realization of a enterprise wide solution involving multiple applications, technologies, regions and stakeholders.

Implement architectural strategies for the application, guides development teams with technical implementation details surrounding Program level technology architecture for our client. The Solution Architect will partner with business stakeholders and solutioning team, as well as external vendors and consulting partners, to help determine best-in-class enterprise implementation in accordance with client's application development and operations standards.

Develop Program level effort estimates at ROM and detailed levels assessing the impacts.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• The individual MUST possess strong Solution Architecture background with sound knowledge in large scale integration projects and expertise in asynchronous communication.

• MUST have Experience to implement third party products and integrate them with rest of the ecosystem.

• Experience with high volume, high throughput, time critical, data sensitive applications.

• The individual should have experience in leading architecture solutions using technologies including but not limited to Java/J2EE/Web Services/JMS/.Net/Microsoft Stack/Caching solutions and related technologies.

• Any experience managing onboard bus systems would be a bonus.

 

Additionally,

• Should have ability to present to executives architecture concepts and design decisions at right level.

• Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict confidentiality in matters that require discretion.

• Facilitate sessions with various teams and provide application level architecture direction.

• Need to be hands-on in design activities and produce technical artifacts substantiating the solution and design approaches

• Need to be hands-on in anticipating performance issues in developing solutions.

• Understands high availability needs and come up with tactical and strategic solutions to meet high availability needs.

• Perform other job-related duties as necessary.

 

Skills and Qualifications The individual should have demonstrated as a Senior Solution Architect in enterprise applications with a focus on digital customer experience for a minimum of 3 years.

The individual has to be a Subject Matter Expert in one or many of these technologies.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related fields.

• 10+ years of experience leading technology solutions as a Lead / Architect with background in various technology areas.

• 3+ years of experience in architecting Microsoft/J2EE/Web/Integration/Mobile applications

• 5+ years of experience in leading design activities and requirements analysis

• Experience in leading estimation exercises for large program initiatives

• Experience in Event Driven Architecture.

• Experience with RESTful architecture and SOA architecture.

• Experience in designing solutions using in industry standard open source frameworks, such as Spring framework, Hibernate, Logging Frameworks, Object caching, integration patterns.

•Experience in database technologies – including SQL and no SQL databases

• Expertise in one or more of the J2EE containers (Tomcat, JBoss, Websphere, Weblogic)

• Awareness of mobile application architecture and development background with modern JavaScript framework and Mobile development platform, including CCS5, HTML5, JQuery, AngularJS, Node.js.

• Must have work as architect for high volume high throughput applications in the past.

• Should have excellent presentation skills and ability to express conceptual and physical architecture to directors a nd other key strategic partners.
