Job Title: UI/UX Web Designer
Location: New York City, NY (Locals preferred)
Duration : 6+ Months
Interview : F2F
Qualifications:
Proficient with User Experience, UI Design, and Architecture primarily for web based applications design for large volumes of dynamic content using data grids, lists, etc
Experience creating and managing a UX process for exploring and testing new ideas, features, and products
Proficiency in using Wireframing tools /UX tools including Balsamiq, Photoshop, Axure, etc
Strong experience in UI Development, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/ Jquery, must know at least one or more of the front-end technologies
Strong understanding and deep knowledge of current web and mobile design technology opportunities and limitations
Top-down thinker. Not afraid of defining the problems on your own and solving them. Must be a strong team player
Strong conceptualization ability, strong visual communication ability, drawing skills and sketchbook technique
Knowledgeable on best practices for presenting complex data on small screens
Strong attention to detail and organization skills while being able to design with both speed and accuracy
Must have good communication and partnership/ relation building skills to work with the end users through the project phases
BA/BS in graphic design, fine art, visual communications, HCI or related field (or equivalent industry training / experience)
7+ years design experience in an information design, user interface design, human factors engineering, user experience, or information architect position.
5+ years of UI design experience in a fast-paced development environment with experience in consumer-specific software or web products
Sound knowledge of Adobe tools including Photoshop/Illustrator
Desired Skills
Using visualization tools such as Tableau, Spotfire, Qlikview or other such comparable tools
Experience with mobile UI/UX
Good knowledge of Illustrator, Flash CS4/CS5 and other relevant design and development tools
Understanding of common software development practices
