Title: Data Architect 
Location: East Lansing, MI
Duration: 6-12 Months Contract

This position will be responsible for the design and implementation of ETL framework for the extraction and transformation of data from legacy systems; Involves liaising with data stakeholders to discuss complex design requirements, analysis of source and target data stores and building a virtual team of people to work with.

Minimum Requirements:

1.            Strong experience in multiple RDBMS platforms, specifically Oracle and SQL Server; 

2.            Strong expertise in SQL andPL/SQL programming;

3.            Demonstrable understanding of advanced database concepts including data modeling(ER diagrams), data access & security.

4.            Experience in using ETL tools (like Oracle SQL*Loader, Pentaho Data Integration, IBM Infosphere - Data Stage etc…) and methodologies;

5.            Proven experience in building data dictionaries, performing data classification, managing data and data lineage;

6.            Prior experience with data mapping in support of data conversions and/or system interface management;

7.            Proven experience in leading data migration effort for large and complex system implementations with data security considerations; 

8.            Strong understanding of common data quality issues and resolutions; 

9.            Understanding of standard software development life cycle principles, practice, & disciplines.

10.          Requires the ability to handle export controlled data.
