 Frontier Communications is seeking a Senior SOA Developer. This position is for an experienced IS professional, who will work as part of the Integration Services/ESB team. The team is responsible for full lifecycle delivery and support of integration solutions in a service oriented Enterprise Service Bus environment.

This position requires an experienced software engineer with a background in Service Oriented Architecture and Enterprise Service Bus concepts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in Information Technology

• Strong knowledge of Object Oriented Analysis & Design (OOAD) & Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) principles, Enterprise Application Integration patterns

• Experience designing and developing XML schemas, WSDLs, XPath, XQuery; BPEL experience a plus

• Experience developing Websphere Server Foundation, Websphere Process Server (WPS) and/or IBM Business Process Manager (BPM);

• Eclipse development platform

• MS SQL Server, DB2, or Oracle RDBMS

• CVS, Ant, JUnit, JMeter, SoapUI utilities

• Proficient in shell scripting in a UNIX/Linux environment

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently in an aggressive schedule environment

• Telecom experience a plus

• J2EE development experience preferred, including JMS, JSP, Servlet, EJB

• Websphere MQ

• BS in Computer Science/IT/equivalent

 

. Major Job Duties and Responsibilities: Test, maintain, and repair the JVM (Java Virtual Machine). Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt it to new hardware or to upgrade interfaces and improve performance. Design and develop software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design. Consult with engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, develop specifications and performance requirements and resolve customer problems. Advise customer about, or perform, maintenance of software system. Coordinate installation of software system. Monitor functioning of equipment to ensure system operates in conformance with specifications. Analyze information to determine, recommend and plan installation of a new system or modification of an existing system. Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures. Consult with customers or other departments on project status, proposals and technical issues such as software system design and maintenance. Note: This position is not eligible for Overtime billing
