Title: DevOps Engineer
Contract Duration: 6-12mths
Location: Wilmington, Delaware
Minimum Requirements:
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Building the core components and mechanics that power our Continuous Delivery platform.
• Work with technologies like Chef , Jenkins, GoCD , Sonar, Service Virtualization and Test Automation tools like JUnit, TestNG, Selenium, Cucumber, Appium, SoapUI, SOATest, Specflow.
• Support development and QA to satisfy their day to day needs.
• Review, investigate, optimize and replace current process & systems without performance bottlenecks throughout the platform.
• Support DevOps unified build environment. Make it easier for new builds, once a process is run for the first time it should be able to run all the time.
• Automate. Everything that can be automated should be automated.
• Work closely with key partners in Product and Engineering to increase reliability and availability.
• Improving and enhancing our orchestration tools.
• Own test automation execution infrastructure platform.
• Develop tools and services useful in DevOps environments.
• Study and implement new tools for increased productivity, security, reliability and performance.
Needed Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to code and script… Solid skills with Java /C# and Unix Shell / Bash/ Python/ Perl/PHP/Ruby/ PowerShell scripting.
• Knowledge of or the desire to research, learn and work on different technologies.
• Comfort with collaboration, open communication and reaching across functional borders.
• Comfort with frequent, incremental code testing and deployment.
• Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools.
• Strong grasp of test automation tools.
• Data management skills.
• A proactive mindset and the ability to multitask and prioritize requirements.
Skills that are not necessary but highly desired:
• Experience with globally distributed platforms
• Experience in an Agile environment
• Chef or other cloud experience
• Deep experience working in Linux based environments
• Build pipelines based in Jenkins or other CI system
• Building and deploying Java or .Net based applications
• Designing horizontally scalable services
• Experience with version control
• Knowledge of design patterns, SOA, refactoring and unit testing
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
• 4 year College degree in Computer Science or equivalent subject or experience.
• At least six years' experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
Description:
We're looking for a Developer/DevOps Engineer to be responsible for development, operations and support of our deployment pipeline comprising of various applications/technologies. This position will help us scale and improve the integration , process and technologies as part of Continuous Delivery.
This position requires expert programming and scripting skills with a hands-on understanding of low level systems and a mindset for innovation, automation and scale.
The position is responsible for continuously and rapidly improving your capabilities in the areas of test automation infrastructure, test execution, and test data management through Research & Innovation.
