Position: Test Specialist
Location: Detroit, MI, United States
Interview: Phone or if Local F2f
Job Description:
The maximum hourly rate reflects budget estimates only and does not reflect the final negotiated rate.
* With general guidance and coaching, participates in developing and executing test scenarios for unit, process, function, system integration and acceptance testing.
* Develops test cases, scenarios and scripts to ensure applications quality.
* Designs and develops usability testing scenarios, and administers portions of testing process.
* Defines criteria for testing, analyzes results of testing sessions and presents results.
* Participates in selection of testing tools and approaches.
* Utilizes appropriate testing tools and testing processes on projects and assists in building test environments.
* Significant creativity is required.
* Minimum 3-5 years related experience preferred.
* Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
Top Three Skills/Experience:
* Healthcare experience including claims adjudication ( MUST)
* Mainframe (COBOL and JCL), Java, SQL and NASCO.
* 2+ years of Web applications testing experience
Required Skills/Experience:
* Minimum experience: 3-5 years
* Healthcare experience including claims adjudication ( MUST)
* Has claims processing experience on NASCO platform.
* Has a basic understanding of testing web-based applications.
* Has a basic understanding of test methodology.
* Has developed and executed a full spectrum of tests on multiple applications and environments.
* Is experienced with System Integration Testing and Performance testing on complex, multi-platform, distributed applications.
* Test Case Development
* Test Script Development
* Strong Analytical skills
* Good communication skills
* Ability to log test results and defects.
* Should be able to manage the test effort for the project
Preferred Skills/Experience:
* Experience with Rational Suite of Tools is a plus
* 1+ years of writing SQL queries
