Role : Senior Systems Engineer
Location : Atlanta GA
Duration : 12 Months Plus
Position requirements
1. College degree preferred in CIS/MIS programs or equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
2. 10+ years relevant experience supporting computer systems.
3. Ability to manage servers in a clustered environment.
4. 2+ years experience with VMware 4.x or 5.x in a high-availability configuration is a plus.
5. Basic understanding of SAN technologies.
6. Capable of working with Blade servers
7. Capable of troubleshooting HP server.
8. Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures.
9. Able to support various operating systems (Windows, Linux, and Unix).
10. Knowledge of how to secure operating systems.
11. Experience with Windows Server 2003, 2008, and 2012
12. Thorough understanding of NT security, rights, and groups.
13. Thorough understanding of Microsoft Active Directory
14. Basic understanding of LAN/WAN networks and capable analyzing pc to network connectivity issues (i.e. client/server architecture).
15. Desire to continue in certification programs.
16. Capable of managing multiple tasks and objectives.
17. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - verbally & written, including technical writing.
18. Serve as a mentor to all personnel from a technical aspect.
19. Must be willing and able to travel, work after hours and weekends as required.
