We have a Direct Client Requirement for you and the details are as follows

Title: Firewall Administrator

Location: Cedar Rapids, IA

Duration: 12+ months

Required Skills:

All candidates must have GREAT COMMUNICATION skills and SOLID WORK EXPERIENCE.

POSITION:
Configure, deploy, and cutover Checkpoint firewalls as part of ongoing enterprise operational support. Will require hands on experience with initial setup, configuration, deployment, and administration of Checkpoint firewalls, as well as understanding of network flows and perimeter security devices.

REQUIRED:
- At least 3 years managing and/or administering Checkpoint firewalls.
- Ability to operate in a team environment, as part of an ongoing project.
- Ability to work with minimum oversight, while driving assigned tasks to completion.
- Ability to comply with existing Change Management procedures and understand impact of scheduled changes.
- Ability to work with customers to communicate change impact.
- Strong understanding of network traffic, protocols, and associated applications.
- Can work remotely, but will require onsite work at the Cedar Rapids, Iowa location for training.

PREFERRED:
- CISSP, or other security and/or network certification.
