Job Title: Big Data Architect

Location: Schaumburg, IL

Duration: 6+ Months

• Hands on solutions Architect 10-12 years of experience working on Hortonworks Big Data Platforms (Hadoop, Map Reduce, Machine Learning – Spark, Hive, Pig)

• Highly proficient & Customer facing Project experience involving design, development and deployment in one of the areas mentioned above

• Experience in addressing non-functional requirement's and large application deployment architectures

• Experience in any one or more of the following technologies

o 2 + yrs as an J2EE architect with strong experience in core Java

o 2 + yrs on Oozie, Hive, Pig, Map Reduce

o 2+ yrs migrating PL/SQL to HQL (Hive Query Language), Custom UDF/UDAF, Hive based exception processing, Handling updates in Hive, Scheduling Oozie jobs, Apache Sentry

• Strong in Shell Scripting programming

• Candidate should have at least two projects delivered at Production Scale on above technology stacks.

• Architect, Design and implement core technologies in fast paced environment, with minimum guidance

• Knowledge around EDW tools like Oracle/DB2/SQL Server and Core Java platform

• Domain knowledge around Insurance

• Good experience around optimizing MR Jobs & Hive Queries and resolving system-wide bottleneck analysis including network analysis and performance tuning

• Experience of agile software development process and development best practice
