Unix Shell Scripting Consultant
Bothell, WA
6+months
Descriptions:
Unix Shell scripting resource with Website debugging/ Java background and having production support experience
1. Super at shell scripting (shell and/or Perl)
2. In depth knowledge of TCP/IP stack
3. In depth knowledge of Machine to machine communication
4. Excellent at core networking protocols, knowledge of IPV4 / IPV6
5. Should not be someone who just enters commands to start stop server
6. Should not someone who just executes a pre-built script
7. Good experience (current/recent) supporting applications in a production environment
8. Good experience with web applications running in Weblogic and funneled through Apache
9. Candidates should have experience with running web instances on UNIX servers
10. Web experience highly desirable (installing web servers, troubleshooting web page issues, etc)
11. Good experience in working closely with OS/hardware, network and database teams and need to be able communicate with them in an intelligent manner
12. Experience in a UNIX environment – Core focus is Solaris/Linux Redhat
13. Experience/basic troubleshooting with applications that connect to a database and basic sql experience (we primarily use Oracle databases)
14. On-call support required
