Role purpose: | |||
The role is required to perform manual testing (System Test in an Iterative fashion and System Integration Test) in an application delivery project that comprises: i) Replacement of a current proprietary solution used for notifications and messages to XML ISO 20022 messages. ii) Replacement of a current User Interface with a web based thin client solution. | |||
Main duties, responsibilities and deliverables: | |||
1. Project Testing Activities (85%) · Review and understand business requirements, solution, design and other project specific technical documentation · Analyse business flows and learn SWIFT message flows to be used as part of the test practise · Produce Requirements Traceability Matrix, Test Scenarios and Test Scripts for planned levels / phases of testing · Peer review Test documentation · Define, prepare and create Test Data · Perform Test Execution (mainly UI driven), log and track defects · Provide regular task updates and progress reporting on the allocated activities. · Assist in the transition of UI and API test automation · Design, Develop and Implement efficient test automation techniques 2. Supporting testing/training activities (15%) · Support Defect Management · Support Test Artefact Management · Support Project Level Test Reporting requirements · Share project, testing and industry knowledge. | |||

Person Specification
Professional Experience
· Software Testing experience in the 'Financial Services' business domain (preferably in FX, Payments – RTGS, SWIFT)
· 1-2 years' experience producing various Test artefacts including Test Pans, Requirement Traceability Matrix, Test Scenarios, Test Scripts, Defect Report
· 1-2 years' experience in Defect Management
· 1-2 years' experience in XMLs and database interrogation using SQL.
· > 2 years test automation experience QTP, Selenium etc
