UI/UX Designer

Bowie, MD (Onsite Interview)

Client is seeking a UX/UI Developer to take responsibility for the development, implementation and assistance with the functional requirements' design and operation of internal business Software Products.

The right candidate will develop and enhance the BI application based on feedback from customers.

The candidate should be able to demonstrate proficiency in developing innovative interactive web applications to meet customer needs.

Principal Responsibilities:

Perform prototyping and mock up's to convey ideas and concepts (wireframes through interactive prototyping);

Contribute on a large project involving the delivery of a robust BI application;

Provides intermediate level system analysis, design, development, and implementation of mid-tier data applications for WEB based software;

Translates technical specifications, and/or design models into code for new or enhancement projects;

Develops code that reuses objects, is well structured, includes sufficient comments, and is easy to maintain;

Elevates code into the development, test, and Production environments on schedule. Provides follow up Production support when needed. Submits change control requests and documents;

Participates in design, code, and test inspections throughout life cycle to identify issues and ensure methodology compliance; and Participates in systems analysis activities, including system requirements analysis and definition, e.g. prototyping. Participates in other meetings, such as those for use case creation and analysis.

Requirements:

Solid experience developing n-tier service oriented enterprise environment;

Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, OOD, .NET (4.0 or higher), SOAP, web Services, WSDL, developing n-tier web applications with MS .Net technology (C#, Windows Forms/ASP.NET, XML, XSL, JavaScript, AJAX etc);Experience with client side web technologies;

Expert level at CSS driven and W3C/ADA compliant HTML code creation

Expert knowledge in HTML5, DHTML, CSS3, AngularJS or similar

A thorough understanding of grid-based layouts and UI frameworks – responsive design and thinking mobile first;

Expert in JavaScript with JSON, JavaScript libraries such as JQuery;

Experience with HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, CSS, Firm understanding of the IE DOM and DHTML, XML/XPath, XSLT, SAX, Schemas/XSD; and Working knowledge of Visual Studio 2010, Team Foundation Server(TFS).
