Job Location: Senior Java Developer

Duration: 6-12 Months

Basic Function:

The Senior Java Developer will design, develop and implement customizations to Client application in a heterogeneous environment; The individual will participate in all phases of the project, including but not limited to requirements analysis, business process review, application design, development, integration, data migration ,testing, documentation, and deployment. The individual will independently prepare technical specifications for systems, interfaces and/or services; the developer must adhere to the standards and procedures defined within the project.

Minimum Requirements:

• 3- 5 years recent experience on Enterprise Java Platform

• 1+ years of Spring experience

• 1+ years of experience with Struts (or any MVC pattern, Spring MVC/Struts1, etc.)

• 1+ years of experience with any ORM tool (OJB, Hibernate etc…)

• Experience in SQL and PL/SQL programming; experience with Oracle RDBMS

• Understanding of software development lifecycle concepts, including design, and development, and testing.

• Conversant with Unix or Unix flavored operating systems

• Knowledge of industry standards including (UML, XML, XSD, XSLT, HTML, CSS, Web Services, SOAP, AJAX).

• Experience with Software Configuration Management tools like Subversion, Git etc…

• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.

• Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written forms.

• Ability to independently organize and manage time effectively to meet goals of software delivery; Manage multiple tasks;

• Ability to independently meet deadlines and maintain high level of productivity

• Requires the ability to handle export controlled data;

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with UNIX shell scripting.

• Experience with EAI solutions

• Experience with test-driven development and continuous integration

• Prior experience in Kuali Platform, either in the development or implementation of one or more Kuali projects (like Kuali Coeus, Kuali Financial system, Kuali Rice etc…)
