Position: Technical Systems Analyst

Location: Herndon, VA

Hourly rate: $40/hr. Best and Max

Longevity: Contract 6 months+

Travel: None

Openings: 1

Start: ASAP

 

Required Skills:

 

·         A minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience providing systems analysis support

·         Good communication skills (oral and written) and strong analytical skills

·         Prior experience supporting applications in a UNIX environment, experience with UNIX system level and user commands, and with UNIX Shell and Korn scripting for automation of tasks.

·         Strong knowledge of computer system capabilities and limitations

·         Understanding of database concepts, strong Oracle and Sybase familiarity

·         ETL knowledge (Ab Initio is preferred)

·         Working knowledge of Autosys job management for scheduling, monitoring, and reporting and experience with Remedy is preferred

·         Previous experience supporting all phases of the SDLC

·         Industry knowledge and ability to grasp inner workings of various technical components of an application

·         Knowledge of Agile methodology a plus

·         A four year Bachelor's degree in relevant field
