Position: API Automation Tester

Location: Sunnyvale, CA

Duration: 6 Months

 

2) API Automation Tester - 1 position

RESPONSIBILITIES 
• Collaborate with developers and QA leads to improve testability, automation
• Design and develop QA automation scripts using existing Rest client API using Java/XML 

• Integrate test scripts with Jenkins using TestNG  or custom framework and daily run the regression

• Fix and modify the scripts to keep up with DEV changes in TDD model. Goal is to achieve 95-99% pass rate

• Implement, gather, implement and report team and project metrics 

• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills

 

Requirements:

·  A functional understanding of HTTP and how it applies to RESTful service testing

·  Strong technical competency and experience with web applications, web services and understanding of automated testing for API 

·  Web Services knowledge with RESTful API experience

·  Experience with Java language and standard test tools, e.g. Junit, soapUI, TestNG, Rest-Assured, etc.

• Tools / Skills : Java, Groovy, Java Script, jUnit, TestNG, Jenkins, XML, SQL Queries - Must have

• Good to have skills : Unix, jMeter, Mac os, cross browser automation, API testing
