Title : Data Modeler

Location : NJ

Duration : 6+months

 

Must Have Skills:

DWBI Background - Sound in desinging OLTP/OLAP Models - atleast 3 to 4 projects exp, ERWIN, Visio , Dimensional modelling experience in 3 to 4 projects

 

Job Roles/Responsibilites:

• Gathering and analyze business requirements and transforming them into innovative BI solutions that effectively facilitate and enhance the development of the company's suite of products

• Ability to lead BI Project planning activities, architectural reviews, development, design, and implementation of the BI solutions.

• Creation and maintenance of conceptual and logical data model design for enterprise data warehouse, data marts and other analytical applications

• Creation and maintenance of physical data models with Oracle ExaData and SQL Server data bases

• Creation and maintenance of data dictionary for data models

• Conducting data profiling and data analysis on source and target systems

• Experience with various methodologies (e.g. Inmon, Kimball) for creation of data models for data warehouses and data marts

• Eliciting requirements using interviews, data analytics, business process descriptions and workflow analysis

• Counsel and advise users on data uses, definitions, assets' capabilities and data management processes

• Become a SME on the organization's data , processes and business methodologies

• Training and helping team members in understanding data models, how to populate and use them

• Participate in establishing processes and best practices around development standards, version control, quality control, deployment, maintenance and change management

• Work with SMEs and peers to ensure that the final solution meets the highest quality standards
