Job Title: Hadoop Administrator 

Location: Downtown, Chicago, IL (Need Locals)

Duration : 1 – 3 Years

Description: 

Production Support Analyst position is required for providing server hardware and operating system support services for establishing, upgrading, and maintaining the RedHat Linux, Oracle Solaris, and a Hadoop environment. This position will be responsible for performing critical system administration duties to ensure operating system and system software is configured and maintained to provide the levels of system availability and integrity specified by the business requirements. The Production Support Analyst is responsible for monitoring system security parameters and managing user accounts to ensure adherence to established policy. Capacity planning and system performance and tuning is a key aspect of this position to ensure the service levels are consistently met. Additionally, provides analysis, evaluation, and support of the environment operation which includes monitoring systems, resources, applications, and users to ensure maximum system availability. 

Required Skills:

Experience implementing and supporting Hadoop is required.

Hadoop Cluster Implementation is a MUST! 

Minimum 5 years of IT work experience focused on Red Hat Linux, Oracle Solaris, and Hadoop engineering and administration in large production environments.

Hands-on knowledge of design, implementation, and management, and support of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Distributed File Systems, Oracle Solaris, HP Proliant server hardware (DL 380), NetApp, and SAN connectivity using Fiber Channel.
