Location: McLean, VA

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Mandatory Skills:

· Drives world-class design and development of applications that support high volumes, are fast, simple, reliable, distributed, and easy to extend & maintain.

· Work closely with the management and the technical leads to target and pursue efforts that will maximize reuse and portability of underlying technologies utilized to deliver Web-based products to customers across different device types.

· Design components and systems, determines and establishes appropriate patterns, identifies appropriate technologies to incorporate, and works with engineers on creating reference implementations.

· Identify and drive best design, coding, quality, and development practices across the different engineering organizations.

· Designs and develops the security aspects of applications and databases to protect and maintain the integrity of customer data

· Works with application and enterprise architects to ensure designs align with overall application architecture standards and practices

· Act as a roving troubleshooter capable of being applied to mission critical issues that arise. This will require the ability to code and have a working understanding of the principal technologies being utilized to deliver products across different groups.

· Identify and manage the evaluation of potential technologies that could have a positive impact on the kind or speed with which software products are engineered.
