JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Location: Sunnyvale, CA

 

DESCRIPTION:

NOTE: Local candidates preferred. Face to face required.

Looking for a Build and Tools Engineer to develop, deploy and maintain build automation system and work on tools development for New routing Products.
In this position you'll be writing tools and scripts to ensure a seamless work of automated system, move through the release stages as well as working on new tools development platforms.

The person filling this position must be a hands-on, pro-active, self-motivated developer with strong initiative and a desire to succeed in a challenging environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum qualifications - BS + 6 yrs. exp; MS + 4 yrs. exp.; PhD + 2 yrs exp in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical and Computer Engineering.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

3 years of experience as build/release engineer
Experience developing software in C/C++, Java, Perl, PHP, Python
Experience with Source Control Systems such as SVN or GIT.
Development on Linux, Ubuntu
Experience with any of (g)make, SBT, Maven
Experience developing scripting interfaces and build system designs
Track record of software development, building automation development or automation tools

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

3+ years of experience administering Bugzilla, writing custom automation, database synchronization, and report generation
3+ years of Database and System Administration
3+ years of experience working with distributed teams across multiple time zones
