duration: 6+months

1.       Technical Experience

Required:

1. C#, .NET 4.0 (or earlier)
2. MVC
3. SQL Server
4. Web Services (REST/WCF)
5. JavaScript (JQuery)
6. Training in Agile principles, specifically the Scrum framework.
7. Sr. level development skills with architecture experience. 

Desired:

1. Sitecore
2. Microsoft Team Foundation System (TFS)
3. Automated testing practices (Unit/Integration/Acceptance)
4. At least 1-3 years' experience working on an Agile SCRUM development team.

 

Candidate Responsibilities

1. Working in an agile team environment to build, maintain, and support Medmutual.com and other sales applications
2. System programming (web/mobile UIs, service based) with various technologies including:  .NET 4.5 MVC, C#, SQL 2012, JavaScript, jQuery, Sitecore.
3. Analyze varying solutions and provide strategic recommendations with an eye on functionality, cost, technology and value as appropriate.
4. Strong interpersonal and analytical skills for interacting with team members to identify and remediate issues/bugs.
5. Perform independent testing and coordinating with Quality Assurance personnel. 

 

Project Detail

1. Projects will use Medical Mutual Agile/Scrum Methodology, standards and document templates.
2. Entails working with a Sitecore 7.x / C# based website with a combination of C# webforms , user controls and  text/html script templates.   A portion of the site is also C# MVC.  There are a number of back end web services that make external calls for claims and other info.  There are also calls to databases SQL Server and DB2.
3. Analyze existing processes and work with the technical lead, business analysts and product owner to understand the business rules, which may not be known,  and then be able to provide coding patterns and practices.
4. Provide technical direction based on C# MVC (Model/View/Controller), DRY (don't repeat yourself) and SOLID design principles for front and back-end web development.
5. Great communicator who can provide leadership and insight to tech lead and junior level software developers.
6. Ability to make technical recommendations while mentoring the team on how to arrive at a decision based on various business flows, data models and coding principles.
7. Current technology is:  .NET 4.5, C#, SQL 2012, Visual Studio 2012 Team System, Harvest, JavaScript, jQuery, XML, SSIS, web services, Sitecore, Kony, MS Office, Visio.
