DevOps/Build Release Engineer

12+ Months

San Jose ,CA

(Must) At least 5yr+ working experience as a DevOps Engineer or (Java) Build/Release software engineering role

(Must) Excellent Python, bash, and scripting fundamentals

(Must) In-depth knowledge of CI/CD systems: Git, Jenkins/Teamcity, Artifactory/Nexxus and or for End to End automation for all build and deployments

Proficient at Linux system administration

Working experience using Gradle/Maven as build tools for building of deployable artifacts (rpm, jar, war) from source code. Knowledge of Gradle Plugin

Working experience with DevOps container tool chains such as Docker, Jenkins/Teamcity, Nomad

(Good to have) Knowledge of Configuration Management Tools (Puppet, Chef) 

(Good to have) Knowledge of Hashicorp tech stack (Nomad, Consul, etc)

(Good to have) Knowledge of migrating projects between git repository tools (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, etc)

Able to finish new/migration projects independently

Experience with SCRUM, Agile and iterative approaches a plus ●       Able to operate at highly varying levels of abstraction from business strategy to product strategy to high level technical design to detailed technical design to implementation ●       Synthesize achievable solutions from diverse inputs, alternative sources (build / buy / partner) and complex data ●       Experience with frameworks like Struts, Spring, Hibernate, JSF a plus ●       Prior working experience in utility computing and/or cloud computing domain highly desired
