[USAJobsClub] Cognizant - Sharepoint Content Management Specialist in Boston, MA


Location : Boston, MA
This is a long term Boston based position and does not have work remote opportunity.
 
Profile 
The Content Management Specialist configures and customizes user requirements into content management systems (e.g. SharePoint or Alfresco) and ensures that the system is operating optimally. Additionally, the Specialist looks for ways to improve content process workflows. Content managers also improve efficiency by working with Legal departments on record definition (emails, contracts, project plans, etc.) retention and retirement in SharePoint on premise and O365.
Key Responsibilities 
 
• Define universe of content and develop process and policy to handle document lifecycle 
• Work with vendors to automate and streamline storage and retrieval of content 
• Analyze and design functional and non-functional content management systems software requirements 
• Address and reconcile problems in accordance to scope, timeline, and budgetary parameters 
• Partner with end-users to diagnose and resolve critical content management related challenges/problems 
• Monitor and track the performance and utilization of the content management system to ensure that uptime and performance metrics meet required targets 
• Participate in full lifecycle projects related to content system implementations 
• Identify and propose opportunities related to improve service offerings based on feedback and utilization from internal customers

Soft Skills 
 
• Ability to work closely with Legal department and end-user community 
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills 
• Ability to motivate adherence to document policy as an internal document management champion 
• Self-motivated team player able to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment 
• Experience managing multiple projects concurrently 
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
 
Technical Skills 
 
• Good understanding of internal business process and document universe 
• Working knowledge of Legal policies, regulations, and guidelines 
• Deep understanding of different content management systems (e.g. SharePoint Server, Alfresco, etc.…) 
• Development experience in one or more scripting or core programming languages (e.g. Java, .NET, etc.…) 
• Experience in SharePoint on premise and SPO will be a plus
