Role- Release Manager/Engineer
Location: Stratford, CT
Client- Sykorsky
Duration: Long Term (12 months or more)
Interview Mode: Phone/Skype (client will pay travel for face-to-face interview IF REQUIRED)
Must be US Citizen or GC Holder only
Responsibilities:
The Release Engineer will be the primary owner of build and release toolsand processes for the client internal applications. S/he will own the test,build and release infrastructure for the Client's internal applications.This will include designing and implementing processes and tools to supportcontinuous integration, testing, deployment, automation. In addition, theRelease Engineer will be a steward for good software engineering practices.
Qualified candidate will:
· Work with development, QA and project management teams to set releaseschedules and environment.
· Help define best practices for source control, continuous integration,automated testing, build automation, deployment, and release management.
· Maintain high quality by participating in code reviews.
· Maintain detailed build and release notes.
· Experienced with build tools for internal use to support softwareengineering best practices.
· Ability to work at the client location
· Experience with Tomcat, Apache, Linux, IIS, Ant, Maven, Jenkins, Jira,GIT, SVN
Nice to Have Skills:
· Mastery of source control tools.
· Knowledge of build/deployment tools such as SQL Package (DACPAC),Deployment Manager, etc. is a plus.
· 3-5 years release engineering experience and experience implementing abuild and release system.
· Experience in Windows .NET programming is a plus.
