Position: Sr. Datastage Developer
Location: NYC
Duration: 6-12 Months
Rate: $50-52/hr on C2C Max
Job Description:
- IBM Datastage with Sql Server 2008
Act as a lead developer responsible for the planning, completion and coordination of work activity for projects involving more than one developer.
Design and develop data movements using IBM Datastage 8.7.
Experience in creating both Parallel and Server jobs
Knowledge of data parallelism, performance tuning concepts and best design practices in Datastage.
Perform code reviews, analyze execution plans, and re-factor inefficient code.
Follow data standards, resolve data issues, complete unit testing and system documentation for ETL processes.
Familiarity with FTP, SFTP setup and procedures.
Hands on experience in basic Unix shell scripting, Unix wrapper creation and script maintenance
Should be comfortable writing SQL and Procedures on Sql server 2008.
Experience with normalized, relational and dimensional data modeling and techniques.
Expert at tuning SQL objects (e.g. Stored Procedures, Views and Queries).
- Understand existing System design and its components and make recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code.
- Analyze business requirements, design, implement and integrate component.
- Develop design documentation artifacts.
- Ability to work independently.
