Job Title: Data Steward / Analyst
Location: Atlanta, GA (Need Locals)
Duration : 12+ months
Required Skills:
Strong SQL working knowledge in writing queries
Strong understanding of data capture, update, usage and other core business processes that influenced the data life cycle
Experience using any master data management software. Experience with Informatica MDM preferred
Previous experience as a Data Analyst or Data Steward who is responsible for querying, analyzing and summarizing large data sets
Experience manipulating data sets within MS Excel using functions such as formulas, pivot tables, or vLookups
Experience communicating with cross functional employees within an organization.
Experience troubleshooting and auditing data
Solid understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles and practices
Strong understanding of metadata and data management
Familiarity with data governance best practices
Experience with data processing flowcharting techniques
Must be able to represent the data management team as a key subject-matter expert and resource for the assigned data entity
Experience with Informatica Power Center or Informatica Data Quality Applications
Experience creating data mappings for critical data elements and maintaining meta data
Demonstrated experience creating presentations using MS PowerPoint
Experience using MS Project or MS Visio to create and maintain timesheets and workflows
Responsibilities:
Marketing Data Analyst is responsible for the execution of MDM operational issues as well as assisting the Enterprise Data Steward in defining policies and processes
Marketing Data Analyst will function as the primary point of contact related to the day-to-day execution of MDM related service tasks. He/she will respond to and Act on adhoc data related inquiries, answer questions, resolve data issues and perform data analysis
Responsible for management and maintenance of operational master data such as data additions, changes and deletions
Ensures requests for master data maintenance are properly implemented by working with Enterprise data steward and Enterprise data management committee
Maintains required audit-related documentation, Enterprise Glossary and Data Dictionary
Assess the quality and consistency of data stored in a source database and develops recommendations for data cleansing based upon business rules
Create mappings and data categorizations document to enable ease of use for end users
Work with development team on the ETL process to move the data from the source to the target system and data related problems if any
Documentation of source schemas to be used by other Data Analysts
Delivers service in accordance with established SLAs or negotiates service delivery if outside SLA
Helping Campaign Managers in understanding Master data and how it can be leveraged for segmentation
