Sr. .Net Application Developer
Location : Houston TX local candidate
Duration: 6 months contract to hire
Position Description:
1.Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives
2.Expected to write documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, and corrections
3.Performs a variety of complicated tasks
4.Translate software requirements into workable programming code and maintain and develop programs for use in business
5.Analyzing user requirements
6.Research, design and write new software programs
7.Test new programs and fault finding
8.Develop existing programs by analyzing and identifying areas for modification
9.Integrate existing software products and get incompatible platforms to work together
10.Create technical specifications and test plans
11.Write and test code and then refine and rewrite as necessary
12.Maintain systems by monitoring and correcting software defects
13.Work closely with other staff, such as project managers, graphic artists, designers, developers, systems analysts, and sales and marketing professionals
14.Consult with clients/colleagues concerning the maintenance and performance of software systems and with a view to write or modify current operating systems
15.Continually update technical knowledge and skills by attending in-house and/or external courses, read manuals and access new applications
Minimum Job Requirements
Education:
•Bachelor degree in related area
Experience, Training, Knowledge:
•Minimum 3 years of experience in related field
•Advanced experience with the Microsoft .Net platform and specifically with the C# language
•Advanced experience with database design and writing and maintaining SQL scripts and procedures
•Experience in Energy industry preferred
•Experience integrating with 3rd party applications
•Must have working knowledge of relational databases and client-server concepts
