Role: Data Warehouse Technical Lead
Location: Montclair, NJ
Duration: 12 Months
Job Description:
The Data Warehouse Technical Lead will lead the day to day Data Warehouse build activities in support of ERP data originating from Banner Student Information System, Workday HR, and PeopleSoft Financial Management System. The lead will utilize experiences from prior data warehouse build projects and knowledge of best practices to ensure successful delivery. This is a role that requires strong technical knowledge of all aspects of a Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence program, including DB platforms, packaged analytics solutions, ETL & ESB tools, Reporting & Analytics tools, data quality management, data masking techniques, robust documentation, design & code review processes, etc.
- 7+ years of data warehouse build experience
- 3+ years of data warehouse build lead experience
- 3+ years of Business Analysis and requirements gathering experience in a data warehouse environment
- 3+ years managing development projects with large offshore IT vendors
- Excellent knowledge of data warehouse architecture concepts
- Strong familiarity with multiple delivery tools, include ETL, ESB, and BI tools
- Strong knowledge of data warehouse ETL design and implementation concepts
- Strong knowledge of SQL
- Strong knowledge of Star Schema, ODS, and Data Archive design concepts
- Established background in higher education
- Excellent project/time management skills required.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Self-motivated and able to perform with minimal supervision
- Experience with project cost management and resource capacity planning
- Strong Data Analysis skills
- Change Management experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
